TRACY THOMAS – CLA LADIES CHAMPION

Many congratulations are due to Tracy for winning the UK Ladies Trout Distance Championship at the CLA Gamefair last weekend. This was achieved through a heats and final system which required a very cool head and consistent performance throughout, in front of a very large audience. However, Tracy’s recent performances in the BFCC B100 events have given us a clue to her potential, which has now been realised in such a high profile competition. Please keep up the good work – the BFCC is proud of you!

Congratulations Tracy, really well done. 38.33 yds is a great cast. It would be interesting to know the tackle that you were using.

Mike, Thank you for your kind words

Thanks David, however not surprisingly I didn’t cast 38.33 metres! My cast in the heats was 27m, downwind and in the final I cast 25m, into the wind. I won the ladies distance outright, however in the final they used a handicap system to determine the overall winner of the men, ladies and juniors. As such whoever cast closest to the cast in the heat was likely to win – as the final was casting into the wind, the men’s and junior’s casts were more effected than mine and as such I won the overall competition.

It’s worse than that for James, Mike, Tracy has kicked him out of bed and now sleeps with her trophies. We are all proud of her. Well done Tracy.

You’re too modest Tracy. It was great casting.
