The competition results from all the six BFCC Meetings contribute to the British Championship. None of the Shows we support will contribute to this Championship. The results for 2018 will be announced at the AGM during the final Meeting of the year, normally in Essex in October.

 

Sunday 22 April 2018 9.30am

BFCC Meeting at Cullompton Cricket Club, Landspeed Meadow,

Duke Street, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 1DW.

9.30am – Tuition and B100, B110, #5, #7, ST27, S55g, T38 and T120 Distance and Trout Accuracy competitions.  Day entrants £15.00. Refreshments available.

Directions: Leave M5 at J28. From round about travel west on Station Road B3181 for 300yds. At round about bear left south west into High Street then over round about straight on into Fore Street B3181 for 250yds. Turn left south east into Cockpit Hill (very narrow, sign low down, building projects) which becomes Duke Street and travel 400yds. The Cricket Club is 100yds on the left past Chestnut Avenue. There is a sign, which includes the Cricket Club, at the entrance. There is ample car parking.

Satnav will take you a short way into Duke Street, then follow the directions above.

For Google Earth users enter EX15 1DW – the entrance is 100yds past Chestnut Avenue on the same side.

 

Weekend 12th-13th May 2018 10am

BFCC support to Sportfish Open Weekend, Haywards Farm,

Theale, Reading, RG7 4AS.

The BFCC will be supporting the two-day show providing tuition at the usual fee of £10.00 (juniors free) for 20mins throughout the weekend. There might be a single handed and double handed competition as well – More information on this shortly.

Sunday 27th May 2018 9.30am

BFCC Meeting at Willesborough Cricket Club, Hythe Road,

Ashford, Kent,TN24 0NE

9.30 am – Tuition and B100, B110, #5, #7, ST27,S55g,  T38 and T120 Distance and Trout Accuracy competitions.  Day entrants £15.00 Refreshments available.

Directions: Leave M20 at J10. At rd.abt. take A292 (Hythe Rd.) towards Ashford. Go straight over traffic lights (Church Rd. on left). After passing Waterside (a road) on left, travel straight on 300yds to a narrow entrance on left with a small sign Willesborough Cricket Club, which is easy to miss. It is next to house number 328. If you reach Albemarle Rd. (100yds on left) go back. There is ample car parking.

For Satnav users, enter post code TN24 0NE followed by number 328. However, for Google Earth users, enter code TN24 0HL – the Cricket Club entrance on Hythe Rd. (A292) is very close to the Albemarle Rd. junction.

 

Saturday 16th June 2018 9.30am

BFCC Meeting at Oswestry Rugby Club, Old Officers Mess, 

Park Hall, Oswestry, Shropshire,  SY11 4AB.  

9.30am – Tuition and B100, B110, #5, #7, ST27, S55g, T38 & T120 Distance and Trout Accuracy competitions.  Day entrants £15.00. Refreshments available.

Satnav and Google Earth users should enter SY11 4AB, which will take you there precisely. On Google Earth there is a narrow lane with large buildings to the right going north from the A495, 250yds east of the A5 round about – the Rugby Club is to the right of this lane.

Directions: From the A5 take the A495 going east from Oswestry to Whittington. Travel 250yds from the A5 round about and turn left into the showground lane signed Oswestry Rugby Club (on right hand side), the rugby posts should be visible from a distance. If you reach Burma Road (450yds on the A495), go back. There is ample car parking.

BFCC Meeting at Alconbury Sports & Social Club, Great North Road,

Alconbury, Huntingdon, PE 28 4EX.

9.30am – Tuition and B100, B110, #5, #7, ST27, S55g, T38 & T120 Distance and Trout Accuracy competitions. Day entrants £15.00. Refreshments available.

Directions: Travelling north on the A1 or south on the A1M, turn off at the junction signed FOR THE ALCONBURYS. At the round about, leave in a North Westerly direction on the old Great North Road. Travel 300yds to Polecat Lane on the right hand side. The Alconbury Sports & Social Club is on the corner.

Mid Devon Show, Knighthayes,

Chettiscombe, Tiverton, Devon.

BFCC normally support this Country Show with a free to enter fly casting distance / accuracy event throughout the day however as it clashes with the GF (see next event) we won’t be able to this year. Casting tuition will still be available from local instructors.

BFCC support to The Game Fair, Ragley Hall, Warwickshire.

BFCC supporting the Game Fair with several single and double handed distance fly casting competitions and an accuracy event every day with two categories for juniors (under 14s and under 18s) plus male and female categories.

There will be daily competitions for everyone to enter with daily prizes awarded.

For the competitive Distance fly caster there will be daily qualification events with a Championship Final on Sunday.

BFCC Meeting at TBD Jersey

9.30am – Tuition and B100, B110, #5, #7, ST27, S55g, T38 & T120 Distance and Trout Accuracy competitions.  Day entrants £15.00. Refreshments available.

Why not make a weekend of this meeting and come fishing with the BFCC team that support this event? The day will cover tuition and the six distance fly casting competitions and an accuracy competition.

 

Saturday 20th October 2018 9.30am.

BFCC Meeting at Bentley Cricket Club, Coxtie Green Road,

Brentwood, Essex, CM14 5PN.

BFCC AGM will be held during the lunch break.

9.30am – Tuition and B100, B110, #5, #7, ST27, S55g, T38 & T120 Distance and Trout Accuracy competitions.  Day entrants £15.00. Refreshments available.

Directions: Leave M25 at J28 and take  the A1023 north east to Brentwood town centre.  At a pair of mini roundabouts at the end of Brentwood High St. turn left  onto the A128 Ongar Rd.

Stay on Ongar Rd for about 2 miles and at a pair of mini roundabouts turn left into Coxtie Green Rd.

The cricket field will shortly come into view on the left.  The entrance to Bentley Cricket Club is clearly signposted on the left at the end of the cricket field.

The journey from the M25 to the venue is about 15 -20 minutes, depending on traffic.
